GMA Regional TV and Synergy are excited to offer incredible opportunities to young individuals as they present the highly acclaimed GMA Masterclass: The Icons Series in Laoag, Ilocos Norte on October 19 and in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur on October 20.
GMA Chief Marketing Officer Lizelle Maralag, a highly regarded individual in the marketing industry, will be speaking about her personal journey towards embracing integrity and striving for excellence. She will be sharing her insights with the students of Divine Word College of Laoag in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on October 19 at 8:30 a.m. On October 20th, she will be sharing her inspiring insights with the members of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur at 9:00 a.m.
In the third Mindanao leg of the GMA Masterclass: The Icons Series, Maralag shared valuable insights with the students and participants from Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City on June 23.

We are excited to welcome our Kapusong Ilocanos, particularly the youth and academe members, to join us in learning, engaging, and finding inspiration," expressed Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, GMA's Senior Vice President and Head of Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy.
Martin Javier, a renowned sparkle artist, host, and sportscaster, will be joined by Joanne Ponsoy, an esteemed award-winning broadcast journalist, as the hosts of the event. Garrett Bolden, the Kapuso Soul Balladeer, will captivate the audience with his soulful performances.
In September 18, GMA Network participated in the celebration of Cebu Press Freedom Week with the "GMA Masterclass Series: The Cebu Press Freedom Week Special" event at the University of the Philippines Cebu. GMA Integrated News (GMAIN) pillar Howie Severino, veteran broadcast journalist Pia Arcangel, Assistant Vice President and Deputy Head for GMAIN Social Media Aileen Perez, and award-winning regional correspondent Nikko Sereno served as the panelists who shared their knowledge and experiences on the topic, “Journalism in the Age of AI (Artificial Intelligence).” The Cebu City Government praised and acknowledged this initiative by GMA Network, as participants gained valuable insights on how to effectively deliver facts and information.
A special session dubbed “GMA Masterclass Series: In the Age of AI” was also organized by GMA Integrated News, GMA Regional TV, and Synergy last September 30, gathering the Network’s multimedia journalists for a discourse on the importance and impact of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)
Participating in the engaging conversation about AI were Mav Gonzales, a News Producer at GMAIN News; Shafizan Johari, the Multiplatform News Innovation Lead Editor at Astro Awani; Atty. Jesus Disini, Jr., an Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Law; Dr. Dominic Vincent Ligot, the CEO and CTO of CirroLytix Research Services; and Gabrielle Cayetano, a Segment Production Specialist at GMAIN Digital Division.
Attending the Masterclass were Perez, GMAIN Senior Social Media Producer Theodore Ortiz, and GMA News Media Inc. Vice President and Head of Creatives Rufino Ramil Escarda, who participated in the discussion remotely.
The GMA Masterclass Series is a significant endeavor for the academic community, spearheaded by GMA Regional TV and Synergy. Launched in 2018, it strives to offer students and professors an additional platform for exploring and discussing a range of local and national topics. It was recognized as the “The Most Development Oriented TV Plug'' at the Gandingan 2020: The 14th UPLB Isko’t Iska Multi-media Awards and took home the second Excellence Award under the Communication Training and Education Category at the 18th Philippine Quill Awards.
