USeP College of Education Pinning Ceremony 2023

The University of Southeastern Philippines and the Seniors Student Organization held their Pinning Ceremony for the Pre-service Teachers for College Education yesterday afternoon, January 23, 2023, despite months of lockdown and all the stringent compliance of the pandemic.

Dr. Raquel D. Almasa, Associate Dean/Graduate School Head/MEd-ECE Coordinator, opened the event with a message that highlighted the University Core Values, or C A. R. E. S, or the five main points on which everyone present could likely agree: Collaboration, Accountability, Resilience, Excellence, and Service Orientation. She went on to say, "Succeeding despite difficulties in inspiring students and changing teachers." To whose attention does this turn? The focus of all instruction should be on you. It's not just about education; it's also meant to inspire the instructors of tomorrow. Certainly, the institution is committed to providing its students and the community's future teachers with a top-notch education.

Ms. Jahzeel Nicole Delos Reyes, a junior at USEP CED majoring in English, performed an intermission number to "The Journey" by Lea Salonga. Last words from a classic tune:

"When they're shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won't let the darkness in
What a journey it has been."

Wow, this has been quite the trip. And that's an uplifting song!
I pray the students hear the message in the song and use it as motivation to follow their hearts and achieve their goals.

from the Senior Department of Francisco Bangoy NHS

Even during the pandemic, USEP was able to continue the education of students and create a pleasant chapter in history. And now, by holding the Pinning Ceremony of the College of Education, it reminds the students that they're still under the umbrella of their university and that they will not forget their mission, which is to "TEACH WITH HONOR." Dr. Robert R. Garcia, a former CED student and current Master Teacher 1 from the Senior Department of Francisco Bangoy NHS, gave an edifying address: "To look forward and never give up on your dreams, whatever the difficulty, there is always something good at the end." "Be patient at all times."

A song called "MaPa" by SB19 was performed as a surprise number. It was a tribute to parents and was sung by the students to their parents.

Following the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Felix D. Ramirez, the SSO Adviser, read the concluding words that were given by Dr. Lindy C. Lulab, Program Head, BTVTEd/Coordinator, Practicum/OJT BSED. "To be a part of something as prestigious as this event is such an incredible accomplishment." As we continue our trek, we will eventually reach the mother's door. Remain modest. "The fruits of your labor will not be long in coming."

After the ceremony, there were opportunities to take pictures!

Congratulations to University of Southeastern Philippines Senior Student Organization Officers for a successful and memorable event.
So proud of you Mikaela Francesca - SSO Auditor!
