mWell, PH’s fastest-growing health app, announces National mWellness Day—the biggest online medical mission

On August 27-28, 2022, mWell by Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (PSE: MPI) will launch the largest nationwide online medical mission, National mWellness Day, with volunteer doctors and health practitioners providing free online consultations to Filipinos from all parts of the nation via the mWell PH app.

As it enters its second year, the National mWellness Day has expanded to include even more medical professionals from the islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The mWell app gives people all across the Philippines access to a variety of doctors, including general practitioners, specialists, and mental health professionals, who are all willing to provide free quality health consultations to users.

This advocacy project is a component of MPIC's objective to bring healthcare closer to more Filipinos across the nation. The National mWellness Day online medical mission is only a few clicks away on your mobile devices, regardless of where you are in the country. Simply download and register the mWell PH app, select from the roster of hundreds of volunteer primary care and specialized physicians, and take advantage of the free consultation. Simple and accessible!

Compassion is the cornerstone of the recurring event, which first took place in September 2021 and continues to this day. Through the use of digital technology and the mWell PH app, access to medical care is made more convenient. The experience is identical to that of an on-location face-to-face medical mission, but it can take place in the privacy and safety of your own home. Concerns regarding one's health can be handled from any location, providing everyone with fast access to medical advice from professionals.

This year, while the people of our nation work to reconstruct their lives in accordance with the new norm, primary care physicians, specialists, and mental health professionals will be just a few taps away, prepared to offer much-required medical guidance. On August 27-28, we will not charge you any fees for booking or seeing a doctor.

In addition to the complimentary consultation, the first one hundred patients will each receive vitamin coupons from MedExpress and Watsons, as well as complimentary shipping on their orders. In addition to this, they will receive coverage for emergency outpatient care that is valid for an entire year as well as free laboratory testing, which will include x-rays and complete blood counts.

The pillars of mWell’s Advocacy program: Metro Pacific Investments Corporation Chief Finance, Risk and Sustainability Officer Chaye Cabal-Revilla and MPIC President, Chairman and CEO, Manny V. Pangilinan

Ms. Chaye Cabal-Revilla, Chief Finance, Risk and Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation said that this advocacy shows mWell’s compassion in action, “Healthcare is a basic right. Our advocacy of bringing healthcare closer to more Filipinos is part of our sustainability anchor. We are truly passionate about making a difference in the lives of our countrymen through our responsive, highly convenient platform.”

National mWellness Day is in support of the MVP Group’s Gabay Kalusugan advocacy focusing on quality and affordable healthcare. MPIC President, Chairman and CEO, Manny V. Pangilinan says, “Filipinos now have better access to healthcare through mWell’s integrated digital healthcare ecosystem with a wide and sustainable network of medical experts and services.”

National mWellness Day is supported by top insurance companies—PhilCare and Generali, pharmacy partners MedExpress and Watsons, mental health experts from Mind Nation, doctors from Makati Medical Center Foundation and Makati Medical Center Wellness Center, and hundreds of volunteer doctors from across the country. MPIC Foundation fully supports the advocacy as well. As a fully integrated healthcare platform, mWell's diversified relationships improve everyone's access to health care.

Primary Care doctors, specialists and mental health experts may join the roster of volunteers.

Doctors are invited to donate their time and provide free consultation via the mWell app.
