Women Empowerment by GABRIELA PARTY LIST, not just only to fight for our human rights but the claimed to achieve the BILLION GOALS and sustainable GLOBAL STRIKE TO DEMAND AN END TO VIOLENCE.




The Gender Equality is always the case of women reported cases of sexual assaults and violence.  These kind of outrage of dehumanizing and brutal assaults on our girls and woman, connecting to our historic and patriarchal beliefs towards women and gender equality.

In this GABRIELA wants to end this kind of VIOLENCE to WOMEN. By creating a DANCE PROTEST against VIOLENCE.

"DANCE IS THE FASTEST, MOST DIRECT ROUTE TO THE TRUTH"

Yes, she is right!   When you dance you feel the inner being of YOU.  The need to express once feelings and aspiration of CHANGE.  You don't need to SHOUT or SCREAM but to feel the music and dancing with it, you will feel the FREEDOM in and out your system.



   


Participated by different sectors from Davao, students from Assumption College of Davao headed by ACD DEAN Ms. Roni Palmero Mines and Sister Concepcion P. Gasang, M.A, ACD School President and selected college students from Ateneo De Davao University.







A celebration that need to focus once FIGHT FOR VIOLENCE.  A dance that has deeper meaning, to inculcate the mind of the people that we are all EQUAL.  That we don't have to hide and forget the PAIN.  That we need to RAISE concerns and put forwards its recommendation that all traditional, religious and community sectors has a responsibility to respond to this international crisis and must work hand and hand for the eradication of this system that leads to the assault on the RIGHT TO LIFE, SECURITY and DIGNITY of the 1 BILLION WOMEN and GIRLS WHO EXPERIENCE VIOLENCE.

  7. I have funny story with Gabriela, They were in Mendiola and I am about to go to school. I am wearing purple that day also, I was held when I tried to cross the street and was late for class. :D

    This is a nice way to protest. It's like flash mob :p

  12. i dance whenever i feel tired with life.. even though how crazy I may seem, well at least i have let my feelings out. this advocacy is a good for woman's empowerment.
