CIGNAL DIGITAL TV REVIEW

Switching from a standard channel to CIGNAL DIGITAL TV is one way of promoting your family standard of TV viewing.  

This is a late post review of my CIGNAL EXPERIENCE.


Applied for CIGNAL DIGITAL SD TV last November 19, 2012 with their PROMO, I contact CIGNAL DAVAO through their FACEBOOK PAGE account and immediately they answer my queries.

It all started when we purchased SAMSUNG SMART TV at DIMDI APPLIANCE CENTER DAVAO.  And we wanted to have a clearer channel and we decided to apply for CIGNAL DIGITAL since they have their PROMO of FREE 3 months subscription.  And because SAMSUNG SMART TV doesn't work well with a standard antenna(weak and snowy in feed).

For first time application, we choose PLAN 390 with 25 CHANNELS.



I payed PHp1,490 for the installation and first payment for my 1 month subscription fee after I pass my requirements to them.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTPAID PLAN:

  1. APPLICATION FORM 
  2. ONE VALID ID:  Pass my PHILPOST ID(xerox copy)
  3. PROOF OF BILLING: Pass my PLDT BILL STATEMENT(xerox copy)
WHO GET MY PAYMENT and REQUIREMENTS:  
The one assigned and installed my CIGNAL SATELLITE DISH and DIGIBOX here in our house his name is RICHIE from an authorized distributor here in Davao.  

Nov. 20.  Just for one day, the CIGNAL PERSONNEL came to our house and started drilling my internet shop roof to mount the satellite dish, then later afternoon certain Agnes call me and give me instructions that CIGNAL MANILA will call me same day for ACTIVATION.

Nov. 21. Been waiting for the call, no call happened.  I call their HOTLINE, no one is answering.  Send text message, no reply.  I was very angry this time.  And I call the local telephone number and AGNES is asking for apology.  Telling me that there is a bit problem happened to my DIGIBOX, they give me a wrong SMART CARD number not assigned for my DIGIBOX.  So they need to retract my SMART CARD number again.

Nov. 24. Received an email from CIGNAL CARE



Nov. 25. Retraction of my CIGNAL due to the WRONG SMART CARD is to wait for a long process because they need (again) for the retraction from CIGNAL MANILA.

Waiting and waiting for my DIGIBOX to be connected.

Nov. 26. I have my DIGIBOX with the right SMART CARD connected with my TV.




Nov. 27. CIGNAL is already up and activated. Programming is doing great.  Thanks God!



What's inside the CIGNAL SATELLITE KIT?

  1. SATELLITE DISH(antenna, mountings, peripherals)
  2. SET TOP BOX(DigiBox) 
  3. REMOTE already had a pre-loaded battery
  4. CIGNAL SMART CARD
  5. POWER CORD
  6. RCA CABLE
  7. 15 meters RG6 cable


Signal here in our area is very good and all Cignal Channels is working clear and good too!









The only problem we have here, because its an SD Channel Plan when it rains so hard the dish satellite cannot receive signals unlike HD Channel Plan.

What I like about my CIGNAL it can get channels through an internet using Wi-Fi connection, it has an Audio channel which you can stream your favorite FM channels.  And lastly it has a setting time reminder for TV Viewers. 

Now I am planning to upgrade my plan to HD since my plan is locked-in for 36 months SD POSTPAID SUBSCRIPTIONS, I still have to wait for 2 years then.

  4. Actually you can upgrade your subscription even when you haven't finish the 36 months lock-in yet. What you cannot do is to downgrade your subscription.

    2. Could you please post a screenshot of that setting? I have plan 1290 HD box, and it doesn't have a record function (making the USB port and the record control buttons on the remote useless). Just curious. xD Thanks in advance!

  8. Hi.. just wanna know if Cgnal cable is normally not working on rainy season? Just subscribed in this cable this week and everytime it rains, the connection went off. It's not even a heavy rain.

    Hope you can share your experience with this cable connection.

    1. Its a beaming problem. It wo'nt feed away even during Typhoon. Only zero visibility rain (unos) is not guaranteed by Cignal.

    1. Experienced that already. I call their CS and they made a report. Then after a week, a technician went to our house to check my box again.

    2. Due to a thin smart card then you will have that problem. It was cause by a warp smart card cause by extreme Heat cause by the Box. REMEDY : pull out the smart card, clean the metal surface, then try to put a sticker (thin) on the opposite side of the metal surface which is the back side.

    3. Its cause by smart card warping which is cause by extreme Heat inside the Box. REMEDY : try to clean the metal surface of the card. Then put a sticker at the back portion of the card(opposite the metal surface)

  12. sa umpisa lang maganda yang cignal, ilang days na ako nagrereport sa kanila, dahil may error ung box nila.. puro lang sila gawa ng report, wala namang nagyyari.. poor customer service talaga!

  16. ang bilis nilang mag putol ng cable pero la nman bill na dating sa akin binayaran ko sabi nila antay daw kung kailan mag karon kapabayaan nila tpos ikaw ung mahirapan sana kung gusto nyo on time ung bayad ontime din dpat ung bill nyo mga loko kayo kung d lang na ka contrata pa putol ko na ito

  17. anyone experienced being charged for tech service? I called cignal today to report a prob. signal quality of receiver is 0. no signal received by set top box for 2 days. after several minutes of troubleshooting over the phone, the cs rep said they need to send over a technician to fix the problem. **the catch is i need to pay for the service** 1st time i heard of a service provider that charges customer when its clearly a cignal issue. To think this is a PLDT company. Sir MVP wtf is this scam?

    1. Yes, they also charge me for that. In my case, I ask their Customer Service how much is the bill, she give me an amount. Better ask CSR of CIGNAL how much..because they have different charge if you are in the province.

  18. Fyi... To everybody. Thats the idiot Policy of Cignal high ranking official of Cignal. If your cignal Got problem then you Need to pay 700 pesos. For me I'm one of the pioneering dealer of Cignal here in Cebu, but to tell you frankly I never to that to My subscriber. Cignal they call it professional fee, this Stupid professional came from this idiot manager. How can it be professional fee since there installer and some of their dealers doesnt have any professional training with satellite installation. If it is professonally installed then you shoudnt have any problem. Even My first installation of Cignal here in Cebu last august 2008 was still alive until this very present day. Thats why I keep arguing this managers in cignal. They dont Know what they are talking about. Cignal is a dealership business. Cignal doesnt have any Control over their dealers cause they dont have salary from cignal. We are just only have an installation fee after installation. But for me Im taking Care of My subscriber. You should not pay their service cause you've been paying your Monthly service bill every month. Thats all i can tell you.

    1. i agree cignal sucks not only with its poor service as you get no customer service at all and total repeats that are never ending and even at christmas i was surprised to see no christmas movies or shows as in nothing ,,,,here in SANTA ROSA LAGUNA very poor

    2. I am totally surprised as Cignal tv channels as they are repeated 14 times a week and then the next month repeated again,,,,,,and even at this time of year i was shocked to see no christmas programs ,,,,,,,,im not sure how it is anywhere else but here in santa rosa laguna ,,,,,,,its a mess.
      And as for customer service you get a call agent at a call center that ends up being a total waste of time and no positive result,,,,,,,,,,i have very poor sound from the day it was installed and to my shock after continuous calls to solve the problem 5 weeks later im still waiting ,,,,is this really legal to treat customers to this level ,,,this has to be the worst tv channel provider i have ever seen world wide and thats no joke .

  19. 3 weeks na rin akong tumatawag sa customer service ng cignal for technical service pero puro lang sila report at walang action.. kaya useless yung subscription ko sa cignal tv, hindi kami makanood at wala signal..napagod na ako sa katatawag sa customer service nila, kasi hindi naman nila sineseryoso ang tinatawag mo, hindi nila inaayos ang problema, mabilis lang sila pag new subscriber ka, ngayon halos magmakaaawa na ako for technical visit..kaya magfile na lang ako ng complain sa NTC baka sakaling maaksyunan..

  21. I am also experiencing this maintenance charge. My point is, wala pa namang assessment kung ano ang problema , charge na agad. Di daw sila pupunta kung di ako papayag magbayad ng maintenance charge

  22. I just subscribed to this cable service provider. I have oriented myself with anticipating how bad the connection would be ion stormy weather. At least I have an idea of what I'm getting.

    However, my reply to this post is to really give a commendation on a Cignal Sales/Connection agent who processed my subscription and Installation. You want a legit authorized agent who will really make sure that you will get the connection in 5-7 working days, look for Wella of Gaisano Mall Davao Cignal dealer under Xtelcom/Wytelcom. She was really fantastic! My connection was done in three 3 days!!! (take note, you need to participate in order to make this happen).

  23. This cable network sucks, CIGNAL TV is such a scam.. "I THINK".. the cable has been disconnected for two months and they're still asking you pay the bill... how come?.. here's what I told them.. I'M NOT PAYING..

This Cignal TV is a big BS.. my CIGNAL TV was down for 3 days ALREADY.. so i called up Cignal TV CS for techinician assistance the agent told me i have to pay first the 600 pesos before they can send the techinician, this is a big scam for me, i told the agent if my Cignal TV would not be fix then I WILL NO LONGER PAY MY BILL..
