I was thrilled to be invited by Hamugaway Beach Resort for their Vloggers Night with a fun Hawaiian theme. Even though I don't consider myself a "VLOGGER" , I feel honored to be invited to the event as a member of the Davao Social Media and Content Creators community.

Here's an interesting tidbit: Hamugaway used to be the site of Sunset Beach and Mango Haven. Mr. Benj Cuaresma, the CEO and owner, has transformed the location into a captivating beach destination, drawing inspiration from his extensive travels across various countries. He created and named the place Hamugaway, which translates to 'convenient'.

During our interview with Mr. Cuaresma, he expressed his intentions to further expand his endeavors. Currently, he has launched the Hamugaway Beach Resort, which is designed to cater to a wide range of guests. Today, we were invited to attend the Grand Opening of the Hamugaway Villas, which is described as an elegant villa suitable for large groups such as company team-building events and family reunions. The package options ensure that guests do not have to worry about bringing their own food, drinks, or cooking utensils. The goal is to provide a stress-free and enjoyable stay that will create lasting memories. Hamugaway people take care of everything.

And guess what? He's also getting the next lot, which spans 400 square meters, and turning it into another stunning villa. To top it off, he's thinking of a Thailand-inspired concept villa and adding a charming BluGre Coffee Shop, the renowned Tatak Davao cafe which he acquired from the late Mr. Gatchi Gatchilian.

The staff at Hamugaway Villas is always ready to serve you delicious food and beverages, so you don't have to worry about anything.

There are currently two Hamugaway locations in Samal: Hamugaway Beach Resort and Hamugaway Villas.

At the beach resort they refer to as "PANG-MASA," people from all walks of life are warmly welcomed. Despite its casual atmosphere, guests can still expect top-notch service from the staff at Hamugaway Beach.

They also offer cottages designed like traditional nipa huts, complete with air conditioning.

In addition to their main offerings, they also have a bar that serves a variety of beverages and food.

Davao Social Media and Content Creators with Mr. Benj Cuaresma

Mr. Cuaresma is not only dedicated to his roles as a nurse and businessman, but he also prioritizes the well-being of his staff and the Samal community. He is adamant about continuing his late son's vision of helping those in need, especially children who are in dire need of love and care. He established the JK Foundation in memory of his son, which is a testament to his dedication.

It's truly a rare opportunity to witness Kublai's incredible creations, such as the exquisite furniture and breathtaking paintings he generously shared with Mr. Cuaresma as a heartfelt gesture of their deep bond. Being able to see this is truly a moment that will stay with us forever.

Mr. Cuaresma has highlighted additional things to consider for this year. Their connection with the renowned Kublai and his artwork is enduring. There are more exciting tourist spots to explore, such as the Glory Land and the Hamugaway Thailand-inspired resort, along with the BluGré Cafe and many others.

I'm eagerly anticipating Mr. Cuaresma's plans and the positive effects they will have on both his business and the tourism industry in the Philippines. Additionally, I appreciate the outreach services he has provided to the people of IGACOS (Island Garden City of Samal).

Every December, we have the joyous tradition of reuniting with our classmates and celebrating with parties galore. However, this year, my classmates from BSBA Sec B, under the guidance of Sir Butch Samante, along with some students from the BSBA Mgt Department, made the wonderful decision to organize an outreach activity at Padre Pio's Home for Children in Tugbok, Marilog District.

Planning was a breeze with the enthusiastic participation of everyone, who generously contributed pledges and donations. And we raise a significant amount of funds to contribute and celebrate with the children.

The sixteenth of December is a date that everyone is looking forward to. There are some of my classmates who are unable to take part in the event, but we are determined to make sure that all of our gifts, etc., are given to the children.

Our AdDU Freshman Facilitator, Sir Wilfred "Butch" Samante, welcomes us warmly as Sister Maria Theresa and Sister Rosa Pia welcome us into their modest home at Padre Pio's Home for Children. The program activities were led by assigned staff and children, whom they referred to as the ATE's (young adult). We thoroughly enjoyed the fun and games they had prepared.

We are delighted to witness the children wholeheartedly embracing the activities, as it truly embodies the essence of CHRISTmas—the spirit of togetherness, compassion, and selflessness.

... The Ateneo de Davao University is dedicated to upholding a strong tradition of academic excellence and serving the community. The formation provided is focused on the holistic development of the individual, encompassing both the mind and heart as well as their role within the human community. The organization strives to fulfill its mission of being "stronger in faith" (fortes-in-fide) as it seeks to align with God's ultimate plan. The Ateneo community's schools, colleges, divisions, and departments actively engage with local communities and other institutions, embodying their mission of serving others and glorifying God. The Ateneo is dedicated to forming young men and women into individuals who prioritize the well-being of others through a range of formation activities and student-centered programs.

I cannot forget this, "Ateneo helps form young men and women into “persons-for-others” (maging-tao-para-sa-kapwa)." A man and woman for others, know how to communicate and to mingle with the people in different walks of life.

Ateneo plays a crucial role in shaping individuals into compassionate and selfless individuals. They have a knack for connecting and socializing with individuals from all walks of life, truly embodying the spirit of being people-oriented.

We thoroughly enjoy spending time with the children, and they warmly embrace our presence. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them and witness the lives they lead under the guidance of Padre Pio's Home for Children.

Can you believe it? I recently had the most incredible stroke of luck when I received a divine email from the lovely Ms. Raye herself. She graciously extended an invitation for me to attend the highly anticipated BBW Davao Book Sale VIP Day. Can you even imagine the sheer joy and excitement that coursed through my veins upon reading those words? It was as if the universe had aligned just perfectly for this extraordinary opportunity to come my way. I am beyond grateful for this incredible chance to immerse myself in the world of books and indulge in the sheer bliss of literary treasures.

Upon receiving the email, I eagerly accepted the invitation. I couldn't contain my excitement when I received the invitation for the third time. I am thrilled to share that I have been chosen as one of the esteemed VIP guests for the grand opening of the BBW in Davao, taking place at the prestigious SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.

As I eagerly arrive at the venue, I find myself surrounded by a vast ocean of books. His Excellency Dato'Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony, the Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines, also delivered a motivational address.

The event was subsequently followed by the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, which was presided over by Mr. Andrew Yap, Ms. Carol Chuaying, and His Excellency Dato'Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony. Ms. Generose Tecson, the former head of Davao tourism and current manager of the vice president of the Davao satellite office, represented Vice President Sara Duterte, and Ms. Jennifer Romero, the newest OIC for Davao Tourism. Ms. Cherry Faye Banquil Al-ag, the spouse of Councilor Bernie Al-ag, along with several leaders of SM Lanang and other local organizations, are in attendance.
