SUPER CHALLENGER: My Thrilling Experience at Davao City's Newest and Biggest Indoor Adventure Park

On May 17, 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the grand opening of Super Challenger, the newest and biggest indoor adventure park in Davao City. Located on the 4th floor of Ascendido Building, near Pryce Tower on JP Laurel Avenue, this park promises to be a game-changer for adventure enthusiasts and families looking for excitement and fun.




As soon as I stepped into the Ascendido Building, the buzz of excitement was palpable. The lobby was adorned with colorful banners, ballons and welcoming staff who directed guests to the elevator leading up to the 4th floor. Upon arriving, I was immediately struck by the vastness of the park. Super Challenger truly lives up to its name with a sprawling layout filled with various adventure zones designed to cater to all age groups and thrill levels.


The Adventure Zones




Super Challenger is divided into several distinct zones, each offering unique activities:


1. Climbing Walls: The park boasts multiple climbing walls of varying difficulty levels. Whether you are a novice or an experienced climber, there is a challenge for everyone. I didn't try this challenge because my socks were too slidey, but I definitely plan to give it a go next time!






2. Obstacle Courses: Most of it was inspired by popular ninja warrior courses, this section features a series of obstacles that test your agility, balance, and strength. The obstacles range from swinging ropes and monkey bars to balance beams and climbing nets. This was a favorite among both kids and adults, providing a perfect mix of fun and physical challenge. I personally enjoyed the obstacle course the most. It felt like I was participating in a real ninja challenge! Balancing my body on the narrow beams, swinging across ropes, and navigating through the various obstacles made me feel both exhilarated and accomplished. It was the ultimate test of agility and coordination, and I couldn't get enough of it.

















3. Trampoline: One of the most exhilarating parts of Super Challenger is the trampoline. With interconnected trampolines, this area allows visitors to jump, flip, and bounce to their heart's content and if you want to do the back drop ask assistant to the safety Marshall's available. It's a fantastic way to burn off energy and enjoy some crawling-flying fun.



4. Slides: Super Challenger slides are some of the best I’ve ever experienced! 🌟 I’ve loved slides since I was young, and seeing the incredible slides left me in awe! If you’re in Davao City, don’t miss out on this thrilling adventure.





The Grand Opening Event



The opening ceremony was a lively affair, with the presents of the owner and co-founder, prominent personalities and Davao Social Media & Influencers in attendance. The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an opening remarks from the Super Challenger executive. A highlight of the day was the demonstration of various activities by accepting the challenges and showcasing the full potential of the park's facilities.




Sumptuous Food and Refreshments

No event is complete without great food, and Super Challenger did not disappoint. That day they served a buffet dinner to all guests. According to the staff I had interviewed, they will have a combo meals offering a variety of snacks and refreshments. And soon a buffet from local delicacies to international favorites, there was something for every palate. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit smoothies and the delicious kakanin. And by the way, you can rent the park for exclusive events and parties.


Safety First

One aspect that stood out during my visit was the emphasis on safety. The park is staffed with trained personnel who are always on hand to assist and ensure that all activities are conducted safely. Safety gear such as harnesses are provided and you must wear socks with rubber sole (or socks that is not slidey). If you don't have a socks they have socks for sale. Wearing of jewelries, watches and eyeglasses/sunglasses is not allowed while doing the obstacles. Strict adherence to safety protocols is maintained.


This indoor adventure park is a fantastic addition to Davao City's entertainment landscape. It offers a unique blend of physical challenges and fun, making it an ideal destination for families, friends, and adventure seekers. My experience at the opening was nothing short of exhilarating, and I can't wait to return and explore more of what the park has to offer.
