Christmas officially shines brighter in Davao City as SM Supermalls ushers in the most wonderful time of the year through two festive Christmas lighting celebrations: “Dazzling Holidays” at SM Lanang on October 21, 2026, and “Sparkling Holidays” at SM City Davao on October 24, 2026.

SM Lanang

Continuing its much-loved annual Christmas lighting tradition, SM Supermalls transformed its malls into festive destinations, bringing together families, shoppers, and the community to celebrate the joy, warmth, and magic of the holiday season.

Both celebrations opened with a welcome message from Mr. Jonathan Nick D. Santos, Senior Assistant Vice President for Mindanao Operations of SM Supermalls, who welcomed guests and shared the spirit of the season as SM officially kicked off its Christmas festivities in Davao.

Dazzling Holidays at SM Lanang

On October 21, SM Lanang welcomed the Christmas season with its spectacular “Dazzling Holidays” celebration, featuring an exciting program of music, dance, and performances from talented local artists and a special guest.

Adding star power to the seasonal launch was guest artist Ken San Jose via video presentation, bringing extra excitement to the celebration.

The audience was also treated to captivating performances from En Avant Dance Centre, showcasing classical and contemporary dance presentations that added elegance and artistic expression to the evening.

Meanwhile, The Jericho Project brought music and harmony through its musical ensembles and choir performances.

Completing the entertainment lineup were the vocal performers from Muzic's Kool Glee / Perfect Square Vocal Group.

With its combination of artistic performances and holiday festivities, SM Lanang's Dazzling Holidays was more than just a Christmas lighting ceremony. It was also a celebration of creativity, musical talent, and the vibrant local entertainment community.

Sparkling Holidays at SM City Davao

The Christmas festivities continued on October 24 at the SM Annex Event Centre of SM City Davao, where guests gathered for the much-awaited “Sparkling Holidays 2026” Christmas launch and tree-lighting ceremony.

Following the welcome message from Mr. Jonathan Nick D. Santos, the celebration featured an exciting entertainment lineup showcasing Davao's homegrown talents and musical performers.

Among the featured performers was AYO,  a rising Davao-based P-pop boy group bringing fresh energy to the local music scene.

The audience also enjoyed the vocal performance of local songstress Tiffany Vistal, whose musical talent added a special touch to the evening.

Bringing more entertainment to the celebration was Fusion, featuring Gats Lopez, while Kasikas Band, featuring Jeff Monungolh, kept the festive atmosphere alive with live musical performances.

Guiding the audience throughout the celebration was professional event host Carly Jane L. Chua, who hosted the entire program and brought the different segments together.

The performances, combined with the much-anticipated Christmas tree-lighting moment, made Sparkling Holidays another memorable celebration for Davaoeños and mallgoers welcoming the Christmas season.

SM Cares Besties of Joy 2026: Sharing Happiness Through Giving

Beyond the Christmas lights, music, and entertainment, SM Supermalls is also bringing the spirit of generosity to the season through SM Cares Besties of Joy 2026, a special buy-one-donate-one initiative that makes sharing happiness even more meaningful.

This year's collection features adorable plush characters from the Super Pets Club, namely Maki, Matty, Sasha, and Sera.

Available at ₱380 per pair, the Besties of Joy collection encourages shoppers to experience the joy of giving. Under the buy-one-donate-one concept, one plush companion is for you to keep while another is shared with someone who can also experience the happiness of receiving a special gift.

More than just adorable holiday collectibles, the Besties of Joy campaign carries a meaningful message: Christmas becomes even more special when we make room for others to share in our happiness.

Through this initiative, SM Cares continues to highlight the importance of kindness, generosity, and community involvement during the holiday season.

It's a simple yet heartwarming reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful gifts are not just the ones we receive but also the ones we give.

Celebrating Christmas Through Music, Talent, and Togetherness

Beyond the dazzling Christmas displays and sparkling tree-lighting ceremonies, what makes these celebrations even more meaningful is the opportunity to showcase local artists, performers, and creative talents while promoting the spirit of giving.

From Ken San Jose's guest appearance via video and the dance and musical presentations at SM Lanang to the rising P-pop sounds, vocal performances, and live music at SM City Davao, both celebrations reflected the richness of Davao's local entertainment scene.

And with SM Cares Besties of Joy 2026 adding another layer of generosity to the festivities, the message of Christmas goes beyond decorations and celebrations. It is about sharing, caring, and making someone else's holiday a little brighter.

For many Davaoeños, SM's annual Christmas lighting celebrations have become more than just seasonal events. They are traditions that signal the beginning of the holidays—a time when families reconnect, friends come together, and communities share the happiness that Christmas brings.

Through Dazzling Holidays at SM Lanang and Sparkling Holidays at SM City Davao, SM Supermalls continues to create spaces where people can celebrate, appreciate local talents, experience the magic of Christmas, and make memories that last beyond the season.

As the Christmas lights shine across both malls, Davao welcomes another holiday season filled with music, meaningful moments, and festive memories.

This Christmas, may we all find something worth celebrating, someone worth sharing with, and more reasons to spread joy.
