#GMMTVNEXT Line Up: Ohm and Nanon Take Different Paths, and Perhaps That's What We Need to Understand
The recently unveiled GMMTV lineup has certainly given fans plenty to talk about, especially those who have followed Ohm Pawat and Nanon Korapat through the years.
As someone who has been following both artists, I watched the announcements with curiosity, excitement, and, of course, a little bit of personal reflection. Seeing their names attached to new projects brings back memories of the journey that made so many people appreciate them as individual artists and as the duo we came to know as OhmNanon.
But this time, the direction seems different. And perhaps, that's something we should learn to embrace.
Ohm Pawat: A New Chapter with VAMP and Pit Stop
Ohm Pawat is set to take on two projects: VAMP: Eternal Destiny lead by Michael Angelo and Pit Stop, the latter featuring Ing Asavanund.
What caught my attention is the opportunity for Ohm to explore different roles and working dynamics. Each new project gives an actor another opportunity to challenge himself, discover different characters, and demonstrate what he can bring to the screen.
One project that deserves a little clarification is VAMP: Eternal Destiny. Unlike an ordinary GMMTV production, VAMP is produced and directed by Michael Angelo under his own company, MDA Entertainment, in collaboration with GMMTV. Mike had previously shared in February last year that several cast members had voluntarily decided to leave the project.
A vampire series and I'm happy to know Ohm now part of this series. I am interested to see how the project moves forward and how the story will eventually come together. It is also an opportunity to recognize the work behind an independent production and its collaboration with GMMTV.
For me, what matters is that the project gets the opportunity to reach its intended direction and that everyone involved receives the support and recognition they deserve.
With Pit Stop, working alongside a new GMMTV artist, Ing Asavanund. also opens the possibility of a fresh on-screen dynamic. It will be interesting to see how their characters develop and how the story unfolds.
For Ohm, I hope these projects allow him to showcase more of his acting range. Beyond the popularity, familiar pairings, and expectations that come with being an established artist, what matters is having meaningful opportunities to grow professionally.
Nanon Korapat: Exploring New Stories with High and Low and 52Hz
On the other side, Nanon Korapat also has two projects to look forward to: High and Low: Born to Be High and 52Hz, featuring Jackie, another new GMMTV artist.
Personally, I am curious about the direction of these projects, particularly the kind of characters Nanon will portray.
We already know that Nanon has a strong passion for acting and possesses the ability to bring different emotions and personalities to life. I have always been interested in seeing him take on challenging roles, especially stories involving mystery, suspense, and deeper character development.
I hope these new projects give him room to explore those possibilities while maintaining a healthy distinction between the characters he portrays and his identity as an individual.
As for his collaboration with Jackie, I believe it deserves an open mind. Every new partnership has its own story to tell, and the audience should have the opportunity to appreciate their on-screen chemistry without immediately attaching expectations or comparisons to previous pairings.
My Personal Observation: Different Projects, Different Journeys
Watching the lineup announcements, one thing stood out to me: Ohm and Nanon are now being presented with different projects, different collaborators, and potentially different creative directions.
For someone who has followed their journey as OhmNanon, this naturally brings mixed emotions.
We cannot simply erase the memories, the performances, the moments, and the connection that made people support them in the first place. Their work together has already become part of their professional history and the memories of many fans.
However, we must also recognize that both are individual artists with their own ambitions, opportunities, and careers.

Ohm deserves the freedom to explore his projects and build new working relationships. Nanon deserves exactly the same freedom. Neither should be measured against the other's opportunities, and neither should have to prove that their individual journey is better than someone else's.

I also think we should be careful about interpreting every announcement as a statement about their personal relationship. A casting decision is a professional development, not necessarily an explanation of what happens behind the scenes.
Sometimes, we need to appreciate what is presented to us without creating stories beyond what has actually been confirmed.
To All Fandoms: Let Us Give Every Project a Fair Chance
I understand that different fandoms will have different reactions.
Some will be excited. Some may feel nostalgic. Others may still be adjusting to the changes. And there will always be people who prefer the previous dynamics.
All these feelings are understandable. But I hope we can give Ohm, Nanon, Ing, Jackie, and everyone involved the respect they deserve.
Let's not turn new projects into competitions. Let's not use casting announcements to diminish another artist's worth. And let's not make the new collaborators feel that they have to compete with someone else's history.
A new pairing does not erase an old one. A new project does not invalidate previous achievements. And supporting an artist individually does not mean abandoning the memories that brought us together as a fandom.
We can appreciate Ohm's projects without questioning Nanon's opportunities. We can support Nanon's new collaborations without diminishing Ohm's journey.
There is room for everyone to grow.
My Final Thoughts: Keep the Memories, Embrace the Present
At the end of the day, I am still someone who appreciates OhmNanon and everything they have contributed through their work together. But I also understand that careers evolve. People grow, opportunities change, and artists move into different chapters of their professional lives.
I don't want to spend my energy comparing projects, counting opportunities, or measuring who receives more attention. I would rather see both of them succeed in their own ways. If their paths cross again professionally someday, wonderful. If they continue building separate careers, that is also something we should respect.
What I want is simple: good projects, meaningful roles, healthy working environments, and genuine happiness for both artists.
We can keep the memories without being trapped in the past. We can support the present without disrespecting what came before.
Ohm has his journey. Nanon has his journey. And the story of OhmNanon will always have its place in the hearts of those who genuinely appreciated it.
No competition. No unnecessary comparisons. Just respect, growth, and support. Because being a fan should also mean allowing the artists we admire to grow, explore, and become the best versions of themselves.
