Last May 3, I had the pleasure of attending the Grab No Sweat Summer event at Abreeza Mall in Davao City, and let me tell you – it was an experience to remember. Nestled within the confines of the bustling indoor mall, this event brought the joys of summer right to our doorstep.
As I stepped into the Abreeza Activity Area, I was greeted by a burst of color and energy that instantly lifted my spirits. Despite being indoors, the event was a vibrant oasis of summer vibes, complete with cheerful decorations, upbeat music, and a lively atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable day.
One of the first things that caught my eye was the Selfie Shack – a haven for photo enthusiasts like myself. Adorned with playful props and Instagram-worthy backdrops, it was the perfect spot to capture memories with friends and fellow attendees. With every snap of the camera, we immortalized the joy and excitement of the day.
But the fun didn't stop there. The event boasted a variety of zones and activities to keep everyone entertained. From the Init Birit zone, where guests could cool off by singing their favorite song in a videoke, to the Beat the Init challenges that put our skills to the test by punching the ball to hit out the summer heat.
What truly made the Grab No Sweat Summer event special, however, was the sense of community that permeated the air. Social Media, Content & Digital Creators, Bloggers, Vloggers, Influencers gathered to enjoy quality time together, friends bonded over shared experiences, and strangers became fast friends as they joined in the festivities.
Of course, no summer event would be complete without delicious treats to indulge in, and Grab certainly delivered on that front. From savory snacks to sweet delights, there was something to satisfy every craving and keep us fueled for the fun ahead, like ice cream and juices (I don't have a photo of their juices).
One of the standout highlights of the Grab No Sweat Summer event was undoubtedly the interactive matcha drink-making activity. Attendees were given a set of materials and ingredients, allowing them to unleash their creativity and concoct their own personalized matcha beverages. From vibrant green matcha powder to creamy milk and an assortment of toppings, the possibilities were endless. It was a delightful experience to experiment with different flavor combinations and techniques, guided by expert instructors who shared their knowledge and expertise from the Kanto Coffee. As we immersed ourselves in the art of matcha-making, laughter filled the air, and bonds were formed over shared love for this beloved beverage. It was a hands-on, engaging activity that added an extra layer of fun and excitement to an already unforgettable event.
As the day came to a close and I bid farewell to the Grab No Sweat Summer event, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of such a memorable experience. Despite being indoors, the event transported us to a world of summer bliss, reminding us that the spirit of the season knows no bounds.
