Today's TeenGen are way different in terms of shaping ideas from social, political, and economic events of the day. They are more vocal and expressive with what they're going through or what's on their minds. Whose lives are saturated by mobile technology and social media, where they express their feelings and automatically posted on their accounts, whether it be a kilig moment with crush, a heartbreak, getting recognized in school, or a cause they strongly support. Teens of these days can teach us a thing or two about having no holds barred.

We used to be shy about sharing what we feel, no matter what it is, to people around us even the ones we trust. That's why COKE STUDIO Philippines is here for its 3rd Season:MyFeels.

Coke Studio: MyFeels is here to turn the tables, it's time to celebrate our feels and make it known that no one can dictate the validity of our feelings.

Indeed, no one does it better than Coke when it comes to launches with a great bang of celebration, the Coke Studio Music Festival that commenced the Coke Studio Season 3:MyFeels last August 23 at the Circuit Makati with hosts from the Summer Concert Ylona Garcia and Justin Quirino.

COKE STUDIO SEASON 3 MUSIC FESTIVAL. Headlined by Coke Studio Season 3 artists, we welcomed the rainy season with rush of water and stream of feelings ranging from love, freedom, independence, and moving forward.

We moved to the groove with Iñigo Pascual, Ron Henley, Al James, Lola Amour, This Band, and Miss Sarah Geronimo while Janine Teñoso, Clara Benin, Bea Lorenzo, Silent Sanctuary, Brisom, St. Wolf, Just Hush, UDD, and Morisette serenaded us with their solo performances. Also giving us surprise numbers were Coke Studio Seasons 1 and 2 alums Ben & Ben, December Avenue, and IV of Spades.

“Feel the rhythm, hear my feelings”

Just when we thought 2019 is going too fast and time is running out for us, Coke Studio came to the rescue with its 3rd Season and made us realize to celebrate every single thing no matter how little they are, look out for the possibilities that learning from triumphs and slumps can give us, and keep in touch with the feels of people around us and ourselves.

Drawing a line here, that every teens are unique! With the teen qualities that made them so expressive with the cultural forces and entertainment shaping them, make it through music or dance—that's teens' lives!

Catch them every Saturday starting September 14, at 10am on ABS-CBN.

Oil is very essential in cooking, and when it comes to oil we are very particular what kind of oil we're using. Whether it's made from animal, plants, flowers or chemical synthesis that imitate natural product. All of these can be used in cooking, baking, frying and other use oil for grilling to add flavoring.

I super liked fried fish, chicken and pork. And I don't really mind what oil they used in cooking, as long as I loved the tasted and its satisfies my cravings I'm all in.

Nowadays, I'm so sensitive with what I'm eating. I am more careful and I feel like I'm developing digestive problems from not releasing when I need to. That's why it's better to use the right type of cooking oil.

There are many kinds of oil in the market, and one of them is Palm Oil.

Palm Oil is extracted from the flesh of the palm fruit. A popular cooking oil in Southeast Asia. It has a high smoke point, making it suitable even for high heat cooking. A semi-solid at room temperature. Palm olein us the liquid part of palm oil.

Jolly Claro Palm Oil is made from 100% pure palm olein. It undergoes a 5-step unique process (3x refined and 2x filtered). That's is why it is clearer and doesn't smell and taste unpleasant.

I was invited to attend an event last July where Jolly Claro Palm Oil was introduced.

A brief introduction about Claro Palm Oil.

    • One of the top palm oil brands in the Philippines (Nielsen Retail Index)
    • Cholesterol-free and fortified with Vitamin A
    • Suitable for all-around, everyday cooking and baking, etc...
    • Available in the following sizes: PET 250ml, PET 1L, PET 2L, SUP 500ml, SUP 1L, SUP 2L
    • Undergoes a five-step process to meet high quality standards

    What are the benefits?

Palm oil has been credited with providing protection against heart disease and its beneficial in preventing cancer because it has tocopherols that are very powerful antioxidants that targets cancerous cells and eradicate the cells completely.

It has a small amount of omega 3 fatty acids that aid in slowing down the loss of cognitive function in patients suffering with Alzheimer's.

It has vitamin D, K, E and A which are all helpful in order to prevent vitamin deficiency in pregnant women and children.

And most importantly, for those who are very conscious of their weight, Claro Palm Oil is a trans-fat free and a better option than edible oils.

We've tried it at home and we use the oil for 6x and still the oil is clear. The smell and taste are the same, it really goes to a high quality refinement process.

Whether you cook/saute it with fish, chicken, etc...

And even if you put it inside the refrigerator for a longer time, the oil is still GOOD!

Jolly Claro is exclusively distributed by Fly Ace Corporation and its now available in the supermarket and groceries nationwide.

As soon summer enters the Philippines - I think of travel and beaches!

It's not long before my mind drifts to white sand beaches, azure blue water and eat good sumptuous food. When people think of paradise, chances are they think of tropical island beaches. Wherein they can walk through the sand, drinking coconut water, sun bathing or just lounging around reading books. And yes, it's true tropical island gives you a peaceful escape from a stressful days from work, and when you're there problems of the world melt away, and time slows down.

It was a perfect timing, when Ms. Jojie Alcantara told us that were invited to visit the private resort of Mayor Bradly and Ms. Jean Baustista in Malita, Davao Occidental.

Its not what you think about beaches, we are going to visit a small type of a coastal inlet surrounded by water precipitously-walled and rounded cirque-like openings located at Tubalan Cove of Malita, Davao Occidental.

Dr. Thomas J. Goreau and his team after conducting a research and assessment of the coral reefs in and around Tubalan Cove, discovered that the place has a mix of prime dive sites suitable for ecotourism, and all the damaged areas is badly need of restoration as fisheries habitat.

That is why people of Malita see to it that the place is watch 24/7 by the Bantay Dagat because they want to preserve and protect the entire sea bed.  Indeed a sanctuary with only one species of the ecologically-fragile cabbage corals. A unique species which covers an area of several hundred hectares and it is likely concluded as corals taken within centuries to form. The presence of these corals colony alone makes Tubalan Cove as one 0f the most  special and unique places in the world for marine biologists and recreational divers plus the Japanese shipwreck that can be seen added attraction to the divers and tourists who loves to visit the place.

Going back to our itinerary. Please take note that our trip is all expense PAID. Meaning it's a FREE trip! So we bring only our SELF + our clothes, cameras, mobile phone, power bank and extra money (in case)!

May 4, 2019. Call time 5am. The van arrived at McDonald MTS at 6am. And we start to travel at 8am.

Arrive at the boundary of Davao del Sur and Municipality of Sta. Maria, Province of Davao Occidental.

A sanctuary that I stay for two days on an island located at Tubalan Cove, Malita, Davao Occidental and it remains one of the best days of my entire life.

A full-functioning kitchen available, as well, where you can cook your own food. There is no corkage for the items you bring in. And there is also an outdoor grill if you want to have a barbecue.

If you don’t want to cook, the resort also offer buffet lunch and dinner where you can enjoy food specially curated by the resort’s people (of course this will be added to your package fees).

New City Commercial Center (NCCC) a Davao-based supermall has inked a deal with local blockchain company TraXion to come up with the newest "credit card" to further boost the development of cooperatives in Mindanao region.

TraXion is a systems integration company specializing in transaction management systems using latest technology, like creating a "bank-in-a-wallet" using blockchain-driven development, enable the members to load, send, save, spend, lend, borrow, and more...

Combining our knowledge and experience in the retail industry with that of the expertise of TraXion in leading-edge technology, and the goal of providing excellent service to reach the grassroots, we have partnered to make a project that can impact our fellow Filipinos, explained by Ms. Ann Cuisa, TraXion CEO.

Through the NCCC Ka-Partner program, cooperatives will be given perks and advantages as well as training's from NCCC on how to manage their enterprises.

NCCC believes that the real community development should start in the grassroots.  Along with TraXion's vision, NCCC also aims to place the underserved community & industry in giving them the privilege to become the front line of newest technology advancement, said by NCCC CEO Lafayette Lim.

From Left to Right: Bermil M. Espina, CTO of Traxion Tech; Ann J. Cuisia, CEO of Traxion Tech; Dennis Joy B. Ejercito, COO of Traxion Tech; Lafayette A. Lim, CEO of NCCC; Sonny D. Catacutan, CFO of NCCC; Joshua Allen C. Santos, CEO of Kadena Hub

Ka-Koop Card will provide the benefits such as reduce cost of handling cash loans, online-real time credit line management, contribute data to their member's credit score and digital, seamless, cashless shopping. And it comes with a QR code. In that, the Ka-Coop Card eventually became a part of the bigger Ka-Partner Program.

So here in the KoopKicks, NCCC can fund and support an aspiring entrepreneur from the cooperatives. Meanwhile, KoopMart will provide supplies and systems to the cooperatives.

Coming together and sharing a meal is the most communal and binding thing in almost every place in the world. Here in the Philippines, cooking as a family or with relatives, friends, loved ones brings us together because we are able to share our culture and heritage through food and give each other nourishments.

Last April 30, 2019, the Department of Tourism Region XI, together with partners Department of Agriculture-XI, and National Commission for Culture and the Arts, led the culmination activity of Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino or Filipino Food Month held at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.

The event's guests, who are mostly stakeholders of the Davao tourism industry and some Davao based diplomats.

The flavorful feast to celebrate the said occasion highlighted the different cuisines of Davao Region, such as the following:

    1. Nilotlot of the Bagobo Tagabawas from Davao del Sur

    2. Kagikit of Kagan tribes given a modern twist by Hijo Resorts Davao

    3. Piyaren Udang of Marco Polo

    4. Beef Kulma , Tausug's popular dish by Dusit D2 Davao

    5. Lolob Adlai cooked in Agik-ik leaves of Davao Occidental

Some of the Davao local popular dishes were also given modern take, such as:

    7. Native Chicken Adobo

    8. Bulcachong or the Davao's popular version of bulalo using carabao meat

    9. Kinilaw of Davao with salted eggs

Davao's most popular produce - durian, mangosteen, cacao and bananas were also highlighted in the feast. Seda Abreeza's durian panna cotta and mangosteen peanut oat bars.

    Mangosteen Peanut Oat Bars

    Durian Panna Cotta

IChef's flourless Davao chocolate cake and marang puff.

And my favorite Gatchips' banana chips which I really enjoyed eating and also loved by many.

Meanwhile, the most popular kakanins or snacks from the provinces were also indulged during the occasion, such as the bibingka or rice cake of Mers in Davao del Sur and the famous empanada of Seaside Restaurant in Davao Oriental.

Other Davao Region based stakeholders who took part in the culinary feast are Villa Margarita Catering and Lao Integrated Farms, Inc.

DOT-XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan in her message explained that the occasion is in line with the month-long celebration of Filipino Food Month, spearheaded by the NCCA and DA as stated in Presidential Proclamation Number 469. Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino or Filipino Food Month is primarily aims to promote and preserve the culinary tradition as a support to various agricultural and cultural communities in the region.

"The Department believes in the importance of culinary arts and traditions in the identity of the Filipinos, the importance of putting premium to local products and how it forms and transforms our consciousness," Director Tan said.

Guest speaker Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol emphasized in his message that the month-long celebration also provides credit to the Filipino farmers who tirelessly maintain the agricultural industries vibrant and make culinary traditions possible.

Food is a great vehicle for sharing culture with people from different backgrounds, some of the coolest experiences because we would get to taste and share dishes from all over the world. Being able to make a dish and share that with people you love is one of the most universal idea because it's at the root of our survival -- the survival of our Davao Region Food Culture.

And yes, we all have to eat and being able to learn how to make a recipe from our ancestors is one of the oldest traditions in mankind and to incorporate with modern way cooking is a great challenge to create new flavors pairings presented in an artistic way.
