Summer is always fun at McDonald’s with the annual Kiddie Crew Workshop! Registration is on-going until April 30, so hurry and sign up your kids in over 400 participating McDonald’s stores nationwide. For full list of participating stores, visit www.mcdonalds.com.ph

Kiddie Crew is McDonald’s flagship family program that has been running since 1992. It has been promoting children’s well-being through fun and enriching activities that help them develop skills and make new friends.

Kiddie Crew members go through a fun-filled 5-day learning workshop that consists of activities that will help harness their sense of discipline, hard work, teamwork, responsibility, and sharing.

They learn what a real McDonald’s crew does at the front counter, drive thru, and they also do other lobby activities like greeting customers.

Kids can also look forward to learning how to make the all-time favorite McDonald’s Cheeseburger, plus enjoy some art sessions including the new activity—personalizing their own Kiddie Crew scrapbook.

They can also showcase their moves and learn the Ronald Dance and Kiddie Crew Anthem. For the first time, Kiddie Crew members will take home a CD with the Kiddie Crew theme song and Ronald Dance so the fun continues at home all throughout summer.

One of the World Festivals that you won't want to miss is the Holi Festival of Colors, celebrated by Hindus around the world.

Holi as define in Wikipedia, is a spring festival in Nepal and India. Also known as the festival of colors or the festival of sharing love. It is celebrated with spraying of colors and water, a dance party and eating festival India delicacies. It begins on the Purnima (Full Moon Day) falling in the Bikram Sambat Hindu Calendar . Most part of North India celebrates HOLI at the end of winter season on the last full moon day of the lunar month Phalguna (Falgun) which usually falls in the later part of February or March.

Last year, Davao City celebrate Holi Festival on March 7 at 2PM to 12 midnght at the SM Lanang Premier near the fountain court area. This time, the event was move on the third week of March, exactly March 19, 4PM to 12 midnight in the main entrance parking area.

When I heard about it and get the chance to attend the event, I voluntarily get our complimentary pass at Pankaj Indian Cuisine (one of the major sponsors aside from TM) and meet Ms. Juvy Sta. Maria (the organizer).

The main objective of the event is to strengthen the relationship between the community of Indian nationals and with the Dabawenyos (people of Davao City). As of now, there are about 5,000 students enrolled in different universities and a quiet numbers of Indian doing business here in Davao.

Upon entering, you will get 1 free sim pack from TM, 1 pack of colored powder and 1 complimentary drink.

And because we are 5 in our group we also get 5 packs of Gulal Holi Colored Powder. It is a non-toxic, water soluble, environmental friendly and allergen-free. The colors are brilliant, safe to use (no harmful ingredients) and the fine dust is extremely low and very comfortable to skin and hair.

Where is Kuya Rhonson??? Hahahahaha!!!!  :)

They encourage the participants to wear white shirt to make the color visible.

    Indian Students enjoying the festival

    And Dabawenyos too!

I am lucky enough to experience the culture of the Indians as well as enjoying to see them celebrating the Holi Festival.

Kids are having fun time playing with the water and holi colored powder. As well as with the adults, in a more matured way celebrating it with much love, camaraderie and unity.

Attending this kind of an event is just a reflection of how colorful life is when there is PEACE and HARMONY between two different cultures.

I hope others like LATINO, KOREAN, CHINESE, EUROPEAN, AMERICAN et al nationals will hold this kind of multicultural collaboration forming a different cultural groups work together and held it here in the Philippines specifically here in Davao City.

Culture is one of the most powerful forces in our world. It's central to what we see, how we make sense of our world, and how we express ourselves. As people from different cultural groups work together, values sometimes conflict. When we don't understand each other we sometimes react in ways that make a partnership ineffective. Often we're not aware that cultural differences are the root of miscommunication.

That is why in an event like holding a Cultural Festival it enriches everyone's life when there is shared knowledge of cultures.

We do have many practices when it comes to taking care of our family's health. Or sometimes a belief that handed down from generation to generation.

In my family, we have this practice that once we are caught in a rain, we should drink a glass of water sprinkled with salt and drink it immediately to avoid "SUBAW" (a Bisaya dialect that means a head cold). It is a common cold affecting the nasal passages and resulting in congestion, sneezing and headache. A mild viral infection involving the nose and respiratory (but not totally to the lungs).

My mother taught me this kind of a practice, as I said, it was handed down from generation-to-generation. And as a kid I need to follow and now that I am a mother I teach my kids about this practice too!

Now, we have made great progress in our health care system. Old practices are still there and need to follow though, teaching our kids to become more conscious with their health and self-care behavior as well.

Even if I am out of a budget, I always prioritize to buy our medicine and vitamins. I see to it that my tweens got the health care that they need as they become more active in school. And me, need to be conscious with my health too, as I turn forty next month.

Last December, I was diagnose to have a mild Allergic Rhinitis or seasonal allergies or Hay Fever. My doctor told me that I will have this till the end of time, it is a lifelong condition that waxes and wanes over time. I was given prescriptions and one of this is to use NASOCLEAR Nasal Spray from Unilab.

The product is not new to me, because I already used this two years ago and I made my Product Review >>>  NasoClear: Cleans Nose Clearly.

And yes, for the past years I forget about it and as soon I receive the prescriptions I told my doctor,. "Oh Yes! NasoClear!".

It was a great relief that I've known and used this product a long time ago, and now I have been prescribed to use it if symptoms occur again. I'll bring this with me wherever I go, this helps me to relieve stuffiness and makes breathing easier. And if it rains and I got wet, there's no need to worry, still I will follow my mothers' advice and my doctors advice too!

A forty year journey is a bit a yo-yo spin to me. I struggled so much with my health, and now that I have NasoClear with me I guess this will lessen the occurrence of my allergic rhinitis problem.

And I have a great trust with Unilab products, they are safe, more effective and pocket-friendly.

NasoClear is available in Leading Drug Store for only PHp75.25.

Yes, I am a busy mom and to keep my life more easier I make my own journal for the past years to stay on schedule.

These are my previous Blogging Planner:

    1. DIY - My Blog Planner 2013 by Erica Made Designs
    2. DIY - My Blogging Planner 2014 by The Blogging Garden
    3. DIY - My Blogging Planner 2015 by the HAND MADE HOME and WIFE.MOTHER.TEACHER

While you can use your mobile phone app to schedule your life activities, I found it easier to have it on my own. But this time, instead of making my own blogger planner for this year 2016, I was hook by this planner called AGENDA.

    THE COVER

I bought this planner very cheap, only PHp79.00 at Gaisano South Mall Davao. A planner is one of the best blogger mom accessories, very affordable for a budget mother like me.

I am a visual person, I don't depend so much with the gadgets, especially when the phone battery dies or the SD CARD accidentally corrupted and you forget to back it up and lose everything. This planner will allow me to keep track on different schedules, read notes and appointments, in that way I can see and read it in front of me.

I feel immediately in love with the customize front, it has a quote starter in every page you wanted to open.

Front Page is for the CALENDAR. Here you can customize the month by way of writing or used stickers instead of writing it down.

    THE FRONT PAGE
What I like about this, is that I can put my weekly and daily activities in one space --- and that is in my monthly views!

    Monthly/Daily Activities

Next page is for my FAVORITES. This is where I'll put my favorite place, food, things, and/or a special day markers, schedules for group syndication's,  and more...

One of my favorite thing about this planner is the spiral bound thingy, printed on recycled paper, meaning I can removed or re-used this from time-to-time. No more re-writing the ADDRESS book.

This is the place I will put all my friends contact & addresses,
    birthdays, email, etc...

It's a great way for every mom to keep her thoughts, motivation, and inspiration together in one place - inside a NOTES.

And to make it a DIY Planner and opt for a more personalized printable one, this planner is quite fabulous! There is a portion that you can hang or clip or cut a little clipboard (it looks like a card for birthdays or anniversary) that you can put it into your desk or punch a hole into to and pass it out just to remind a friend for a great CHIT-CHAT.

Every year, I see to it that I have a new journal planner for my blogging.

For me, a planner is a perfect accessory to compliment my busy activities as a mother and as a blogger. I couldn't survive without it! It's a calendar, folio, notepad and an alarm to remind me of my daily, weekly and monthly activities for 2016.

Here are some awesome and cute Best Blogger Planner for 2016 that you can buy online:

Large Hard Linen Journal - SHINOLA

    2016 Time Planner Medium - kikki.k

2015-2016 Brushstroke Gold Foil Hidden Spiral Planner - Paper Source

Wise Words 17- Month Planner - Anthropologie

2016 Everyday Planner - Miss Tiina (You may print this for personal use only)

So that's it, if you want to have a chic and cute-awesome blog planner you can buy it at your nearest bookstore, malls, online shop and/or make a DIY Blogging Planner.

Thanks guys for reading my post..
    have an awesome day ahead!
