The holiday season is truly in full swing, and there’s nothing like an NCCC Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony to kick it off. This year marks my third Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony for 2024 and another memorable experience with NCCC Mall VP. Since 2017, I’ve attended these magical events year after year, watching them grow in warmth, grandeur, and the magic of the season.

Each ceremony is unique, yet every one brings the same feeling of awe as the Christmas lights flicker to life. This year’s theme, Tales of Christmas, truly captured the magic of holiday stories and tradition. The centerpiece of the evening was a stunning 30-foot tree, adorned in glittering lights and festive decor, standing as a beautiful reminder of the joy this season brings.

With classic holiday tunes filling the air, the tree lit up, and the holiday spirit seemed to grow brighter in everyone’s eyes. The energy of the crowd was contagious; families, friends, and mall-goers of all ages gathered, all wrapped up in the magic of the moment. It’s these shared experiences that have made the NCCC Christmas Tree Lighting such a beloved part of my holiday season for so many years.

This year, NCCC has gone all out with its Christmas displays. The iconic LED Talisay Tree, illuminated NCCCall VP facade, and glowing walkway lights make every corner of the mall feel like a piece of a holiday wonderland. Along with the magical displays, they’re rolling out Tales of Christmas Cheers, a holiday fanfare filled with festive activities running from November through December.

So, to all NCCC shoppers, I invite you to visit, explore, and experience the joy of the season at NCCC Mall VP. Come celebrate with family and friends, and take in all the wonder of the holidays right here in Davao. I am so thrilled to received an invitation to the NCCC Christmas lighting event! Experiencing a unique annual event brings me so much joy. This year, the NCCC Mall VP Atrium has been transformed into a magical Candy Cane Wonderland.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of 'A Colorful Candy Cane Christmas', where twinkling lights and whimsical decorations create a magical backdrop for customers to enjoy and capture memorable photos. According to Alice Romero, the marketing manager of Malls, the concepts represent a sense of sweetness, warmth, and tradition that the people of Davao City wholeheartedly embrace. She mentioned that "as we emerge from the pandemic, the joyous atmosphere of Christmas rekindles the warmth of the holiday season that we've longed for."

Although I don't have the most stunning photos from the event, I still wanted to share them with you so you can experience the incredible celebration we witnessed.

City Councilor Mr. Al Ryan Alejandre delivered a message and also shared the message of Davao City Mayor Sebastian 'Baste' Duterte.

In attendance were also Mutya ng Dabaw 2023, Ms. Maria Isabel Pelayo, and Hiyas ng Kadayawan 2023, Ms. Kristine Claire Tar, who graced the occasion with their presence during the lighting ceremony celebration.

In addition to shopping, customers have the opportunity to engage in various games such as Balloon Darts, Tub Toss, Knock Down, and the exciting Buzz Wire Game. Meanwhile, "12 Days of Christmas Taste Delights" showcases a variety of vendors offering mouthwatering food options and meal packages, making it easier for shoppers to plan their Christmas Eve feast.

Get ready for the ultimate food and entertainment experience as the Christmas StrEAT Feast Bazaar makes its highly anticipated return from November 28 to December 2, 2023, at NCCC Mall VP Parking A. Indulge in a wide variety of delectable flavors that are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

In addition, there will be a Christmas Food Bazaar at NCCC Mall Buhangin Sky Garden from December 8–10 and 15–17. Customers can look forward to a delightful Music Night and an evening filled with laughter from talented comedians, all while satisfying their cravings.

As part of the NCCC Christmas Gift and Donation Drive, NCCC patrons have the opportunity to contribute by bringing in their new, unwrapped, or gently used toys and clothes to NCCC Mall Buhangin between November 6 and December 15. The distribution of the collected goods to the underprivileged children will be completed on December 17th.
