On August 15, 2022, the Kadayawan Festival was officially opened headed by our city mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, which took place at the Bantawan Theatre in Magsaysay Park. It started with MISA PASALAMAT followed by PAG-ABLI SA KADAYAWAN. I watched the event through their Facebook page's ONLINE STREAMING.

Moving ahead. The 17th of August, I had planned to cover THE HIYAS SA KADAYAWAN Coronation Night at RMC-PETRON GAZZ ARENA, but I had to take my daughter to the dentist. This is her first visit to COOL SMILE DENTAL CLINIC, which is located in front of NCCC MALL Victoria Plaza on JP Laurel Avenue in Davao City.

Following her scheduled dental cleaning, we made a purchase at NCCC MALL VP. Then I noticed that NCCC MALL VP had undergone significant changes; the department store, mall, and supermarket all have superb air conditioning.

BTW, before we went to NCCC MAll VP, I was able to send a note to Sir FredJohn Lumantas of Public Relations at LTS Pinnacle Holdings, Inc. NCCC Group of Companies. I ask him who should be interviewed for KADAYAWAN AT THE DOME and he responded immediately. Thanks Sir Fred!

We made our way to the KADAYAWAN AT THE DOME, which is situated at the back of the NCCC MALL VP, and I was astounded by the activities that were taking on inside the dome.

There are numerous Food Exhibitors present, in addition to products from Local Farmers and Small and Medium Entrepreneurs from Davao who sell products from Davao and Mindanao. And I got the chance to interview Sir Christian Robles Formentos, CKC lead organizer.

I also had the opportunity to check out the Picturesque Davao 360° Slow Mo Video Shot, for which I waited an hour to try out this popular viral video. For P40 you will have this video shot!

GMA Network, via its regional arm GMA Regional TV, will present a star-studded lineup of shows to this year's Kadayawan Festival, with the casts of Lolong and Start-Up PH flying to Davao on August 20 and 21.

Alden Richards, Asia's Multimedia Star, leads the Kapuso superstars participating in the much anticipated return of Kadayawan Festival.

The party begins today, August 20, when the cast of the dambuhalang adventure-serye "Lolong," lead by Lolong himself, Kapuso Action-Drama Prince Ruru Madrid, meets the Kapusong Dabawenyos for a Kapuso Mall Show.

Joining Ruru are Shaira Diaz, Arra San Agustin, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Paul Salas. At 5:00 p.m., they will be in the Gaisano Grand Citygate Mall Atrium.

On Sunday, August 21, at 6:00 a.m., the cast of Lolong will join Alden and his co-star from Start-Up PH, Jeric Gonzales, in the Pamulak sa Kadayawan Float Parade.

GMA Regional TV makes this year's Kapuso Float Parade Participation extra memorable by airing "37th Kadayawan Festival 2022: The GMA Regional TV One Mindanao Special Coverage" on GMA TV 5 Davao beginning at 9:00 a.m. The TV broadcast will be presented by Sarah Hilomen-Velasco (GMA Davao), Cyril Chaves (GMA Cagayan de Oro), and Jes Jumamil (GMA Gensan), together with Jandi Esteban (GMA Davao). Regional TV correspondent Rgil Relator and news producer Kent Abrigana will provide live coverage along the procession route.

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., the rest of the Philippines and the world will be able to witness the parade via live streaming on GMA RTV's official website, http://www.gmaregionaltv.com, on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube @gmaregionaltv, and @gmartvnews Twitter platform. Additional highlights of the Kadayawan Festival 2022 will be highlighted here as well.

Alden and Jeric travel to Vista Mall Davao in the afternoon to celebrate Kapuso Fans Day with Dabawenyos. The performance starts at 4:00 p.m.

This latest work by GMA Public Affairs is an enthralling account of a man's incredible bond with a colossal crocodile.

As the popular primetime series enters a new phase, additional discoveries are expected to emerge. In the series, Thea Tolentiino, Vin Abrenica, Alma Concepcion, Lucho Ayala, and Rafael Rossel add depth to Ruru's character. Christopher de Leon, Bembol Roco, Malou de Guzman, Maui Taylor, Marco Alcaraz, Mikoy Morales, and Jean Garcia all star in "Lolong."

Meanwhile, anticipation grows for Start-Up PH, in which Alden co-stars with the multitalented Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo. GMA Network announced early this year that it has obtained the exclusive rights to develop the local adaptation of the popular South Korean series 2020. Based on the original format "Start Up" created by Hyeryeon Park and produced by Studio Dragon Corporation, co-produced by Studio Dragon and CJ ENM, "Start-Up" explores one of the world's most advanced tech sectors and provides a glimpse of the struggles and obstacles one must overcome to build a successful business from the ground up.

Yasmien Kurdi, Gabby Eigenmann, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Nio Muhlach, Lovely Rivero, Neil Ryan Sese, Boy 2 Quizon, Royce Cabrera, Kevin Santos, Tim Yap, Kaloy Tingcungco, Brianna Bunagan, Gianna Llanes, and Ms. Gina Alajar also star in the film, which was directed by Jerry Sineneng and Dominic Zapata.

Every Kadayawan Festival here in Davao City, GMA Network together with GMA Regional TV gave Dabawenyos a more delightful, exciting, fun and enjoyable reasons to celebrate the festival.

I was invited by Mr. Mark Casas of GMA Network to a Mediacon last August 18, 2019, held at Rekado Davao.

This is not my first time to attend this kind of event: GMA Network Blogcon with the casts of "THE STEPDAUGHTERS" and "THE CURE" , GMA Network Blogcon with the cast of Victor Magtanggol , GMA NETWORK KAPUSO STARS ZEST UP 82nd ARAW NG DABAW CELEBRATION . But I am still excited to meet & greet other Kapuso stars.

Davao City. August 18, 2019. It's my first time to interview these two young, fun, lovable and uber cute team-up of RitKen- Rita Daniela and Ken Chan. I've watched their successful drama "My Special Tatay" and I loved their acting so much. And now, they're promoting their upcoming primetime series tagged as millennial fairytale entitled ONE OF THE BAES.

One of the Baes is a romantic-comedy drama produced by GMA Public Affairs. Here audience will be taken to a journey of love and dreams. It will also showcase the ups and downs of our Filipino Seafarers thru the story of Jowalyn played by Rita Daniela. Rita here will be different from her previous character, in this drama she is goal-oriented, who have an ambition in life to be the captain of the ship someday. While Ken Chan is Grant, a rich kid with a kindhearted environmental vlogger whose main goal is to travel & explore the sea and to look for his partner in life.

Another first for me, is to interview Mr. Gabby Concepcion. Promoting his heartwarming romantic comedy series LOVE YOU TWO with actress Jennylyn Mercado.

This top-rating Kapuso series LOVE YOU TWO is about to end, but it is still continuously touch the heart of the viewers as Gabby and Jennylyn's characters as Jake & Raffy respectively, finally affirmed their feelings for each other.

And I attest to that, I watched their RomCom, and I am super kilig with their team-up. I admired Jennylyn so much because she knows to balance her character very well. And Gabby Concepcion is a given actor, he knows his craft well and I'm glad to know he is happy with the characters GMA Network had given him.

Love You Two adjusts on new timeslot 8:30pm.

Another exciting series from GMA Network is the primetime series THE BETTER WOMAN with Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres.

This is Derek Ramsay first project as a Kapuso. Playing the role of Andrew de Villa, a character fit for him. While Andrea here is switches between two very different roles as a twins, playing the roles of Jasmine de Villa and Juliet Santos-de Villa aka Elaine Reyes.

I've watched the premiere of their drama, and I am a bit shocked with the two leading roles here. Their characters are way different, though Andrea played so many roles with two characters at the same time, but this is so much different with the past drama she had. They started it with a sexy scenes but as the series progress there is so much to reveal with. They have an undeniable chemistry and outstanding portrayals of their characters.

The Better Woman new timeslot 9:20pm.

After the interviews, all the stars proceed to SM City Davao for the Kapuso Mall Show.

Indeed, it's a month long celebration of Kadayawan Festival this year, after bringing the lead actors from Bihag, Love You Two, The Better Woman and One of the Baes, GMA Network and GMA Regional TV brings the cast of "THE GIFT" here in Davao City for another day of excitement in the PAMULAK & PITIK SA KADAYAWAN culminating activity.

Davao City. August 23, 2019. Mediacon held at Rekado with the cast of THE GIFT lead by Alden Richards together with Mikee Quintos, Thia Thomalla, Ysabel Ortega and Martin del Rosario.

The story is about a man who become blind because of an accident. THE GIFT, lead by Alden as Joseph-who grows up as a normal kid and one of the hard working vendors in Divisoria. While life gives Joseph a trials upon losing his sight, he continues to be a good person and becomes an inspiration to the people around him. He also discovers his ability to have visions even when he cannot see anything.

Alden Richards underwent an immersion to better prepare his character, with the help of the people from Resources for the Blind Inc., a non-government office that helps visually-impaired people.

In our interview, he reveals to us that he undergo depression during the immersion. Depress in the sense that when he internalize his character as a blind man, he really feels the life of the blind who are born without an eyesight.

The Gift centers on hope, transformation and inspiration. Also starring in this series are Elizabeth Oropesa, Jo Berry, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Jean Garcia. It is under the helm of LA Madridejos.

Before the interview, they had a wonderful Mall Show at Gaisano City Gate Buhangin.

A lot of people are asking about this drama, VICTOR MAGTANGGOL. When the first trailer and poster released by GMA many parodies, bashers and ridiculous comments had gone viral. When it premiered last June 30 on Networks Telebabad line up replacing The Cure, many interpretation about the story that GMA copied the movie THOR.

Actually, it's not even Thor at all!

Last Sunday, August 19, in line with Kadayawan Festival 2018 celebration, a GMA Blogcon was held at Rekado together with #TeamDDI and Kapuso Brigade with the cast of Victor Magtanggol.

During the blogcon, we are given a 30 minute privilege to interview each one from the cast. A table talk happened, starting with Kristofer Martin a.k.a Lance E. Regalado.

Kristofer showed off his dedication to his craft as he opened up about the sacrifices he made to prepare about his role in the drama.

"Doing Lance character is not that easy, but because of GMA proper training and workshop I get develop easily through the character". ~ said by Kristofer Martin

Move to the next character, Percival "Perci" Domingo played by Dion Ignacio.

In this drama, he is the brother-in-law of Victor who will discover something about Victor's secret.

When asked if given a chance, what superpower would you choose and why?

"I choose to have a superpower "AIR", because Victor has an inland power, maybe I could help Victor to fight his battle with my air power like a storm or a maze." ~ said Dion Ignacio

Andrea Torres one of the lead cast appeared to be overwhelmed during this chat. She did not expect the positive outcome of their TV Drama to the Dabawenyos.

Playing a dual role - Sif and Ms. S that will trained and help Victor against Loki.

I barely know this guy but he is so warm and kind, Pancho Magno.

Another lead cast who played the role Modi, son of Thor and step-brother of Victor.

Lastly, know other than Victor "Hammerman" Magtanggol itself - Alden Richards.

It is originally titled as Mitho.

VICTOR MAGTANGGOL

Alden played a fantasy role that is not what you think his character is. Is still a part of Norse Mythology, but he's not the Marvel's Thor we think. GMA Network make sure that they have their own story line which was seen in the first episode, so there is no copyright issue or anything like it.

During the blogcon, Alden implies that we must watch the drama from the start to know and think of this as a Filipino versions of Thor, but with more human elements and less of gods.

Great story line directed by Dominic Zapata and great costumes too!

Because they have parts of it similar to the norse diety, and it is based on Norse mythology it still good to watch this show on GMA Network.
