It has been a while since I last witnessed the Christmas lighting event at SM City Davao. I have a short story to share. I have been working at SM City Davao for the past 7 years, specifically as a member of the pioneering team at SM Affiliates—Health and Beauty. Watsons bought Health & Beauty during that time, but it is still a part of the SM affiliates. I was assigned to Branch 75, which is located at Watsons Mall. During my time there, the Christmas lighting ceremony always took place right in front of my store — The Atrium. Wherein we can catch a glimpse of the events and activities that SM City offers to their customers.

The most recent and last Christmas event I attended was the collaboration between Disney and SM City Davao. It was a magical Disney Christmas experience featuring Olaf's Frozen Adventure. The event took place at the SM City Davao Annex Event Center in 2017.

The main attraction of the mall, an Arendelle Castle-inspired winter wonderland, is open to shoppers. This enchanting display features a magnificent 15-foot Christmas tree. With Olaf and his friends as they relive the sights and sounds from the beloved animated film Frozen. Olaf fans can also look forward to a Disney Frozen Toy Fair at the Annex Event Center.

My two daughters had a great time during that period, particularly when they were skating. They really enjoyed it!

Can you believe it? After a whopping six years, I have just received the most enchanting invitation to attend none other than Santa's Starship! I simply cannot contain my excitement! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am beyond grateful for. The anticipation is building, and I can already feel the holiday magic swirling in the air. I couldn't contain my excitement as I made the decision to embark on yet another enchanting journey to witness a mesmerizing Christmas lighting event. This time, my heart was set on none other than the beloved SM City Davao, a place that holds a special significance in my professional life.

Arriving at my destination very early, I couldn't help but immerse myself in the picturesque surroundings. As I patiently awaited my adventure to unfold, I seized the opportunity to capture the stunning facade of the place through my mobile lens. I must admit that the exquisite decorations adorning the space completely blew me away. The simplicity of the design was truly captivating, but when the soft glow emanated from the Christmas tree, it transformed into a spectacle of pure glamour.

The Bears of Joy Campaign, a heartwarming initiative, garnered significant attention during its anticipated launch in 2019. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances brought about by the global pandemic, the campaign was unable to be officially launched as planned. In the year 2021, an exciting and highly anticipated event took place: the official launch of the Bears of Joy Campaign. SM has been consistently spreading joy and happiness to children all across the Philippines. When you buy a pair of specially designed bear plushies, one for you and the other to be donated to children in various communities across the country.

She is deeply committed to her fiancé and the non-governmental organization (NGO) they have established together. However, things take a turn when a sex video of her boyfriend with another woman is revealed.

Leaving behind the engagement, the NGO, and the life she had envisioned, Hope embarks on a fresh chapter of her career as a content producer for a company. Little did she know, this company also operates as a troll factory.

She is determined to never be outsmarted by a guy again. She creates a helpful reference called an 'anatomy of a cheater' cheat sheet, which she uses as a valuable tool while reentering the dating scene.

She then encounters Miguel (Rayver), a successful entrepreneur who displays all the positive qualities of an ideal partner. Hope believed she had discovered the ideal man. However, as their relationship deepens, hidden truths start to emerge.

The film received high praise from critics for its portrayal of a mature, relatable, and realistic side to modern-day dating.

Ricky Lee, a renowned Filipino screenwriter, characterized "The Cheating Game" as anything but a typical rom-com.

"I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and complexity of this film," the National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts said. "I didn't see that twist coming," he remarked.

In September 18, GMA Network participated in the celebration of Cebu Press Freedom Week with the "GMA Masterclass Series: The Cebu Press Freedom Week Special" event at the University of the Philippines Cebu. GMA Integrated News (GMAIN) pillar Howie Severino, veteran broadcast journalist Pia Arcangel, Assistant Vice President and Deputy Head for GMAIN Social Media Aileen Perez, and award-winning regional correspondent Nikko Sereno served as the panelists who shared their knowledge and experiences on the topic, “Journalism in the Age of AI (Artificial Intelligence).” The Cebu City Government praised and acknowledged this initiative by GMA Network, as participants gained valuable insights on how to effectively deliver facts and information.

A special session dubbed “GMA Masterclass Series: In the Age of AI” was also organized by GMA Integrated News, GMA Regional TV, and Synergy last September 30, gathering the Network’s multimedia journalists for a discourse on the importance and impact of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)
