    Last Wednesday I received an email from Tmart.com confirming about my shopping voucher I've won with Working Mama giveaways.



    I've won lately from Lazada(read story here).  This will be another winning moment of my online shopping experience now with
    Tmart.com. 

     Well joining so many giveaways from my fellow bloggers is a good experience for me since I am just new here in the blogosphere world.  I started blogging just to promote ANYTHING ABOUT DAVAO, I don't expect to come this far.  And I don't believe that blogging brought me here and win this fabulous prize.

     EXCITED? Yes, I am.  Giving the fact that I am LUCKY to have all these favorable circumstances that had provided me all the chances, well I have to grab it! This is really my year!

     I tried to look for a proof on what kind of giveaways I've join; here it is:

    My first FUN RUN for this year 2013.

    Actually to sum it up, this is my 4th FUN RUN; (1) ATENEO: Running for Sendong families and Rebuild Lives (2) ATENEO: iRUN: RUN FOR INTEGRITY and (3) PHILIPPINE RED CROSS: iVOLUNTEER: RUN FOR HUMANITY 

    I've once joined a fun run before but this PHILHEALTH FUN RUN is very different, aside from it is organized by a Government Institution, this is my first time to run alone.

    Experiencing running alone.  This heightened experience is common to all veteran runners.  When we do running we often love to be in a group, just like you can't run without your peers, the camaraderie.  Having thoughts to join the run since I myself love to run in a group.  But due to some reason my partner in running did not make it so I have no choice but to run alone.

     Been amazed at what I've seen on the day of my run, held at SM CITY DAVAO PARKING C.  I've seen many, many people.  So much traffic while entering the place.
    "WOW!  This is the first time I've  joined a fun run with a more than a thousand runners."




     The event scheduled Sunday, February 17.
    It starts at exactly 4:00 in the morning. 

     While we are doing our warm up exercise, 18K
    RUNNERS are already preparing their race.

    Followed by the 3K(Kiddie & Adult Race), then 5k, and lastly the 10K.

     I choose to run 5k again.







    My first 5k RUN  is a bit scary, exciting, and overwhelming(read story here). I know I have to accelerate my run on a higher kilometer run, my last run happened to be a 7k run(read story here)but I am afraid that I can't make it to higher level trail anymore because I consider myself as an occasional runner and beside I don't have that training.  

     "I only run for a cause".  For me my 7K run is the most difficult run I've every made.

     And for this is my first run for this year, with no exercise and training, I've done my 5k run for 1 hour, 27 minutes and 32 seconds.


    Just for the record:
    FIRST FUN RUN:  3K - NO RECORD(Because it is my first to run, don't have an idea that I have to record it).  :(
    SECOND FUN RUN: 5k - FINISH for 1hr
    THIRD FUN RUN:  7K - FINISH for 1hr and 15mins and 20sec
                         AVE. Speed: 1.55m/s
    FOURTH FUN RUN:  5k - FINISH for 1hr and 27 minutes and 32 seconds.

     

    Bad to see my performance decelerated.  Comparing my last 5k run I've finished it for only 1 hour.  Well as I've said lately I am not a professional runner.  I only run occasionally but still it is a GREAT RUN for me because not only that I've received lots of freebies I also HELP raised awareness to PROTECT Mother and Children HEALTH.

    Yes, she is right!   When you dance you feel the inner being of YOU.  The need to express once feelings and aspiration of CHANGE.  You don't need to SHOUT or SCREAM but to feel the music and dancing with it, you will feel the FREEDOM in and out your system.

       


    Participated by different sectors from Davao, students from Assumption College of Davao headed by ACD DEAN Ms. Roni Palmero Mines and Sister Concepcion P. Gasang, M.A, ACD School President and selected college students from Ateneo De Davao University.





    A celebration that need to focus once FIGHT FOR VIOLENCE.  A dance that has deeper meaning, to inculcate the mind of the people that we are all EQUAL.  That we don't have to hide and forget the PAIN.  That we need to RAISE concerns and put forwards its recommendation that all traditional, religious and community sectors has a responsibility to respond to this international crisis and must work hand and hand for the eradication of this system that leads to the assault on the RIGHT TO LIFE, SECURITY and DIGNITY of the 1 BILLION WOMEN and GIRLS WHO EXPERIENCE VIOLENCE.







    I'm not Chinese but we do celebrate CHINESE NEW YEAR or often referred to us as the LUNAR NEW YEAR.

    Yesterday, we went to SM LANANG PREMIER and saw many people watching the celebration.  The Chinese community had their small program presentation at the atrium.


    A song and dance number from chosen students from Chinese school, and great talents from different Chinese organizations.


    Celebrating Chinese New Year here in Davao is so simple, NO FIREWORKS DISPLAY as what Chinese tradition used to follow.  They respect Davao ordinance No. 060-02 Series of 2002.

     It's a better acknowledgment to Asian culture that I've known for, for when I'm still a little girl I grew up with my Grandmother(sister of my Grandfather) who married a Chinese man.  I used to see their Chinese culture and tradition respectfully followed by her son's and daughter's. These are the things that I remember from them when they celebrate Chinese New Year:

    1. They do cut their hair and wear new clothes, preferably RED ONES for good luck.
    2. They clean their house before New Year's Eve.
    3. They don't say bad words or LIFT A FINGER during the two weeks holiday.
    4. And the most part I love is when they meet all their Chinese relatives, especially the elderly one when they pay RESPECT, LOVE and AFFECTIONS, and have banquets at a Chinese Restaurant.
    5. Grandparents, Aunt's and Uncle's give "AMPAO"(the red envelope) with lucky money inside for the kids.
    That is why though I am not Chinese, I still follow their traditions, but not all.

    Durian shake, Durian Cake, Durian Roll, Durian Ice Cream.   What else? DURIAN DONUT? Hmmmm...why not!

    I was inside the mall and someone give this brochure to me.  WOW! this is great, I can eat durian in a donut.  So we went to Go Nuts Donuts(read story here).



    Good location because it's near the Grocery Section.  Place is cozy small and convenient. Well this is a right place for a quick sip of coffee and eat sweets at the same time.

    I feel sorry for those who are complaining about BUBBLEWS. I am with you guys because it also happened to me.  I haven't received my first redemption and I know how it feels.  

     I started bubbling last November 2012, that time I am still in doubt with BUBBLEWS(see story here).  Even if I am a bit skeptical with the movement; I did not complain and I don't contact BUBBLEWS regarding my FIRST REDEMPTION. I continue writing and posting articles in different categories they have, and to think positive that maybe somehow they will notice my writings.

     PATIENCE with TRIALS and HARDSHIP really pays.  And I agree, after 1 month I made my 3rd redemption from BUBBLEWS.

     Yesterday morning of January 30 I REDEEM my $26.14 USD.  Then before the day's end, Paypal sends me email confirming that BUBBLEWS sent me money.
    So that's it, I have my money now on my Paypal.

    For the past week I've read so much about LAZADA online shopping.  For this is not my first time to have my online shopping with them(read story here), I am still curious and eager to know more about the products of Lazada.  So I log-in to my LAZADA account, and click the FASHION AND ACCESSORIES category, then click again BAGS category.  I stop there....just received a private message via FACEBOOK from my blogosphere friend Mary Jane of FASHION TRAVELS.

    Tried to remember again what giveaway contest I've joined (huhuhu...memory gap?), have a hard time thinking, so I PM Mary Jane.  She quickly replies my query and give me the link too.

    Honestly I don't have any idea about Watsons Health, Wellness and Beauty Contest.  But as what I received from a mobile text I won from Watsons Personal Care Store, Inc. worth PHp1,000 shopping spree gift card.  First, I am skeptical about the message because of a TEXT MESSAGE SCAM circulating on mobile. But the number indicated on my mobile is so familiar since I've been a part of Watsons Davao for almost five years.  So I've made a returned call and VIOLA!  It's TRUE that I've won such PRIZE.  

     The next day, my mother and I went to SM-Watsons Davao to claim my prize.  According to the person assigned, there are 50 lucky winners in the Philippines and only TWO winners coming from Davao City. And I am one of the lucky winners here in Davao.  But before she handed me my prize she ask for two valid I.D's, so I gave her my POSTAL ID and PHILHEALTH ID.  



    So happy to receive my winning prize yesterday. And eager to see what is inside the envelope.
