We are all saddened from the past years calamities that had come to our country, Philippines.

The Philippines have witnessed too many crisis, but in all accounts this is the saddest part that happened to our country. First is the standoff in Zamboanga, then the enormous earthquake that hit Bohol badly and the storm surge that tremendously hit Southern Leyte.  We had so much help financially and aid coming from other countries.

But this is not the only HELP we need this time.

We need to ask for spiritual help of our Almighty God, our Creator our Savior to guide and protect our country.

With this we call everyone to participate ONE NATION IN PRAYER(Isang Bansa, Isang Panalangin) this Monday, January 20, 2014 at Malacanang Palace. Simulcast via LIVE SATELLITE in all National Television Channel.

Leaders from different religious sectors will lead the event, including Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, joined by our President Benigno S. Aquino III for the National Day of Prayer of Solidarity.

Whether you are in the home, in the office, communities or in a worship place as well, we have all been called to be part of ONE NATION IN PRAYER.

I use to scrap all the time,  it's my hobby since graders. Then I become a mother, I haven't found time to do it again and on top of that I have to baby sit my two children.

Now that they are all grown up, I said to myself I will go back to scrapbooking.;;)

Keeping a journal or a diary is a must for me, I enjoy writing and posting photos in my book. I have kept all of my old diaries and have a drawer of notes for me to know where I get those pictures (for future reference). Honestly, I am pedantic about getting all the right details/information. ;))

This time need to share my talent in arts and crafts with my youngest daughter. She's eager to learn the basic techniques in scrapbooking such as cutting, gluing and wrapping.  I am pretty sure that she will become a passionate crafter too! [-O< ;)

Things to have... :D/ same materials I use with my last post DIY - My Blogging Planner 2014 by The Blogging Garden

    CUTTING

Guide your children in doing this part. After putting a line using a pencil and a ruler, you need a scissor to cut the desired size of your scrapbook.

Chelsea, had a problem in holding a scissor, so I volunteer myself to cut the board for her.

    GLUING

Since this is the easiest part of the basic techniques in making a scrapbook, I let Chelsea do it but still with my guidance.

She is assigned to fold the wrapper to the glued board.

    WRAPPING or Covering

After covering, you have to cut a colored cartolina, a bit smaller size with your chipboard.

And place the colored cartolina at the other side of the board.

Use a puncher and arrange your pages/layout. I get my layout pages from a site that you can easily download and print.

Put a post screw to bound your book.

Why do I use Post Screw to bound my book?

It is easy to change or update.  You can add more pages if you like.

That's all, hope your children can do this too.

Once they will learn the basic scrapbooking procedures, it will teach them to learn money skills or money management that instead of buying they will make on their own.

This is fun and relaxing hobby that you can teach to the whole family.

And also you will enjoy the quality time together with your kids.

    * CELETEQUE DERMOSCIENCE SUN CARE Soothing Lip Balm with SPF 15

    * CELETEQUE BRIGHTENING Eye Tuck plus Dark Circles Lightener

I guess this month is the busiest month to all bloggers! Considering the entire pack of events, making day-to-day posts, social media marketing, and administering Facebook Page as part of blogging syndication, making a product review wherein many companies are coming out with a desired to be featured in any blog post and getting the last minute shopping in time for a year end SALE.

The question is, are you ready for the next year plan?  Do you have a planner to organize all your activities?

Remember my last year DIY Blog Planner post by Erica Made Designs? This planner totally organized my actions. My monthly activities are entirely written and well taken notes.

For me, I love to stay organized for this year 2014, I am going to use the design from THE BLOGGING GARDEN.

I downloaded the free printable blog planner and available that time is the Blogger Planner Cover Page, Blog-To-Do-List Page, Blog Finances Page, Weekly Blog Planner Page and My Monthly Calendar Page.

    You will need these supplies:

    • CHIPBOARD
    • COLORED CARTOLINA
    • Cute Gift Wrapper or Pretty Paper Good
    • Puncher
    • Post Screw
    • Scissor
    • Pencil
    • Ruler
    • Scotch Tape
    • Art & Crafts Glue or Pudding Glue
    • Stickers for decoration

    1. Cut a board same ratio size with the papers to be added later. Here I have 8.5" x 11" or a short bond size paper.

    2. Cut and cover the cute gift wrapper with the chipboard.

Here I am using the LEEHO ART and CRAFT Premium Quality White Glue No-clog applicator.

This is my first time to use this glue. What I like about the product is it dried so fast and its clean. It's not messy and it is safe to use and non-toxic.

    3. After covering it, cut a smaller size cartolina just to cover both back end of my cover page chipboard.

You can see here that I use scotch tape just to make sure it will attach things together, to make it more durable.

    4. Next is to make a hole for my POST SCREW.

Using a puncher, make a hole for your post screw and line it with a pencil to produce a guide so that your journal will receive a nice lining.

    5. Finish product.  Yepeehhhh!!!!

I do love scrap booking, it's my way of establishing and expressing my artistry side and at the same time making myself STRESS FREE.

    Adding more....
